What we collect
4K Converter collects the account information needed to provide the service, such as your email address and authentication records. We keep payment and subscription references supplied by our payment processor, but we do not store complete card numbers.
With your consent, we may collect limited product analytics such as device category, language, referral source, tool type, format, resolution, size or duration ranges, processing stage, and standardized failure reason. We do not collect media content, filenames, complete source URLs, keystrokes, session recordings, or raw provider errors for analytics.
Media processing
Uploaded media and generated results are used only to perform the conversion you request. They are not used to train models. Files are scheduled for automatic deletion within 24 hours, and you may request earlier deletion where the product provides that control. Limited task metadata may be retained for account history, security, billing, dispute handling, and service reliability.
When an account is deleted, we erase or de-identify account, sign-in, media, analytics, attribution, notification, and other product data that is no longer needed. We retain the minimum order, payment, refund, subscription, and credit-ledger facts for seven years after the last related commercial event. An unresolved payment dispute extends that window until the dispute closes. At the end of the window, retained records are deleted or irreversibly anonymized and are not used to restore an account or for marketing.
AI upscaling may transfer media to an approved processing provider. Format conversion may run on isolated FFmpeg workers. Storage, authentication, email, analytics, and payment providers process only the information necessary for their roles.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies support authentication and security. Optional analytics runs only after consent and can be disabled through the privacy controls. Rejecting analytics does not prevent use of essential service functions.
Your choices
You may access or update account information, withdraw analytics consent, delete eligible media early, and request account deletion. A deletion request is reversible for seven days before execution begins. The commercial records described above remain subject to their approved retention window.
Security and international processing
We use access controls, encryption in transit, short-lived download links, owner-scoped resources, and restricted service credentials. Service providers may process data in other jurisdictions subject to their contractual and security safeguards.
